Inclusive Small Groups
at Milestones
We offer several small groups in-person at our Fredericksburg, Virginia indoor play gym that are inclusive to children of all abilities. These groups are not considered therapy but are a great option for overall child development & social opportunities in a safe, supportive environment offering play and integrative experiences. Please refer to our therapy service tab for therapeutic groups.
Small Group Size
We keep our group sizes small to better meet the needs of our clients. All of our groups are in-person located in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Developmentally Focused
We have programs to address all areas of your child's development, including fine (small hand muscles), gross motor (large muscles), functional communication, sensory, social emotional learning & general social, executive functioning, attention, & cognitive skills.
Professionally Developed and Led
All of our inclusive groups are created and led by pediatric therapy professionals, including board certified music therapists, yoga therpaists, and occupational therapists.
Groups for Infants & Toddler (0-3)
Mommy and Me Groups Including Play, Music, Art, and Storytime in-person at our Fredericksburg, Virginia Indoor Play Gym. Other Grown-Ups are more than welcome to attend!
Groups for Toddlers & Preschoolers (3-5)

Groups for School-Aged Children (5&Up)
Groups that naturally and informally incorporate many areas to include but not limited to:
Play, Social Emotional, Social, Executive Functioning (i.e. attention, problem solving, organization, following directions, etc.), Mindfulness, Self-Esteem, Confidence, Coping, Self-Care, Leisure, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Visual Motor (i.e. Handwriting & Cutting), Feeding, Sensory and Emotional Regulation.
Our Play-Based Groups are in-person, located at our indoor play gym in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Although a majority of our groups consist of child-led play & exploration, we offer other motivating and developmentally appropriate activities, such as team-building games, hands-on and STEM projects, cooking, story time & literacy, mealtime, outdoor play (i.e. mud kitchen), walks and fieldtrips to nearby Alum Spring Park, and even yoga.
Our inclusive groups are open to children of all abilities and are especially great for homeschoolers or those requiring a supportive environment to generalize skills from individual therapy!
Being designed and led by pediatric therapy professionals, our programs offer just the right amount of support and structure some children require to be successful in a group setting, especially those who may struggle in the skill areas listed above due to intellectual or cognitive, motor, speech, behavior, sensory, or emotional needs. They may have a specific diagnosis, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anxiety, Depression, Developmental Delay, Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Sensory Processing Dysfunction (SPD), Emotional Disorder (ED), Speech & Language Disorder, or Intellectual Disability.
