Specialty Group Summer Camps (w/out Caregiver) 

These camps are an extension of our small groups combined all into one fun group to have fun while working on a variety of developmental skills: gross motor, fine motor, social emotional, functional communication, & cognitive! Group size will be significantly small and led by our pediatric occupational therapist with older mentor buddies to help out! Indoor Play Gym Play Experiences

Our play gym is ideal for children around 6 months to 5 years of age, although there are exceptions based on developmental age & other factors. All ages may participate at the same time; however, we are able to help place you with same-aged peers if desired. There are some appropriate activities & equipment available for older siblings to enjoy. Children will be exposed to unique & purposeful play equipment, allowing them to climb, balance, hang, crawl, crash, swing, & jump!  In addition, our play gym will provide access to an array of other wholesome developmentally appropriate activities & toys. One of our trained staff members are present during the entire experience, however a parent or guardian must remain with children at all times, unless otherwise agreed upon. Children & families, as a whole, will be able to embrace the simplicity of childhood in the comfort of a developmentally enriched & clean environment.  Music Groups

Groups are led by Michelle Westfall, a board-certified music therapist. Our groups are small & customized to meet the unique needs of each participant while providing an inclusive experience.

Infant & Toddler Musical Play Group 

By Appointment Only

Up to 5 Participants & Guardians

Saturdays 9:00-9:45AM

This specialty group is recommended for children 6 months until around 3 years of age. A parent or caregiver participates interactively with their babies or toddlers in songs that facilitate co-regulation, where a baby looks to the caregiver to regulate their emotions before they learn how to self-regulate. Musical play experiences include singing songs with baby, movements such as bouncing and rocking, and exploring musical instruments. Musical changes, animated facial and vocal expression, and physical touch with movement all contribute to a baby’s ability to regulate their body and initiate and respond to interaction. In addition to facilitating parent-child bonding, this class offers ideas for parents to promote development at home. We have drop-in visits & monthly subscriptions available. Pre-K & Lower Elementary Musical Group 

By Appointment Only

Up to 5 Participants

Saturdays 10:00-10:45AM

This specialty group is recommended for children ages 3 to early elementary years. A parent or caregiver will participate in a supportive role with their children as they practice self-regulation and self-expression through a variety of music and movement experiences. The class will include opportunities for turn-taking, verbal and non-verbal communication, social interaction, active listening skills, and learning musical concepts. As children develop confidence and independence, parents are supported in gradually decreasing support for their child to practice participating in a safe environment with parents nearby if they are needed. Art Groups

Art Specialty Groups at Milestones are created & lead by Sherice Greene, who is a resident in counseling with a background in art therapy, as well as trauma-informed care. She will be providing therapeutic art groups for children grades K & up, who are able to participate with little to no assistance. Your child will be able to experience the therapeutic benefits of the creative process while having fun & creating a project!

Yoga Groups 

Our yoga groups are led by Kendall Bagby who is a certified, experienced yoga instructor. You may know her from her previous experience at one of our area's top yoga studios. Kendall currently dedicates the majority of her time to her two children. We are absolutely blessed that she has agreed to bring yoga to Milestones by offering a few classes. She offers classes for adults-only, as well as children.    

Adult Yoga Group

We firmly believe that a child's primary caregivers are their rock & foundation, which is why we offer this class as an option for them to practice self-care, physical & mental. Come as you are. No experience or skill required. See how yoga can help you be more flexible, to flow with the ups and downs of life and to nourish your outer & inner strength. The only thing you need is your breath and your mat. 

Kid's Therapeutic Yoga Classes

w/ our yoga instructor & occupational therapist

Up to 8 Children w/ 1  Caregiver to Flow Together or Support as needed (Child may participate independently if able)

Tuesdays 5:00-5:30PM through April; then Wednesdays 5:30-6:00PM starting May 8th

This class is a collaboration between our yoga instructor and occupational therapist. Your child is introduced to yoga and its therapeutic benefits. Yoga helps kids with anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, concentration & memory, awareness & mindfulness, strength & flexibility, balance & discipline! This group is best for school-age children around the age of 5 & up who are able to follow directions to participate in a small group setting with little assistance. Many children will also benefit from our executive functioning group following this class. We have drop-in visits & monthly subscriptions available.  A Project-Based  Small Group With Our Occupational Therapist

Up to 4 Participants

Upper Elementary Aged & UP

Wednesdays 6:00-6:45

We work on executive functioning skills including time management, organization, problem soloving, following directions, & attention by working together to complete a project, including cooking at times! Children are motivated by producing an end product. This group is beneficial for those children who struggle with attention deficit disorders, as well as working on a variety of other skills! We offer a therapeutic yoga class right before this group, which is a great combination for many children.

Direct Therapy Intervention

Sometimes our children need to work on their foundational skills to allow them to continue growing. They may require direct skilled therapy intervention from the appropriate therapist in order to address limitations from the ground up. We plan to be a resource for multiple services including but definitely not limited to occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, & physical therapy, all under one roof. If your child is already being served by such professionals, we welcome them to provide those services at Milestones. This can be done under your child's open play experience subscription.
